The Problem

Coventry Rugby Club is a growing championship Rugby Club who were seeking a digital partner to support their growth ambitions. Their existing site was clunky and difficult to navigate. They wanted a dynamic new website to be built and live ahead of the 2021/22 season. Formation was tasked with developing a user friendly, fully mobile optimised website with the capacity to expand as the club did.

The Solution

Formation set about redesigning their website as a fully interactive ‘social hub’ where the fans could go and easily find everything they needed to know about the club, from upcoming matches and buying tickets to stats, reports and events. We wanted to create a stronger brand identity across the site and bring uniformity through their social channels to help them create a robust online presence supporting their growth strategy.

A Match Made in Heaven

We created the matches area of the site to be as interactive and all-encompassing as possible. By clicking on a fixture, fans can now find out everything they need to know about a particular game, buy tickets, view the line-up, live stream the match, shop the jersey, see the results, read the match report and much more.

Promoting the Sponsors

The redesigned site makes it much simpler to promote those who support the club, and Coventry Rugby Club’s partner logos can now appear all over the website. In addition, there is a capability within the system for sponsors to have complete control over their pages and update their profiles, logos and banners, which will assist the club with future growth aspirations and sponsorship offerings.

Consistency is Key

Through the redesign, we have improved Coventry Rugby Club’s brand consistency. Their brand guidelines have been elevated, with a set colour scheme providing a solid and consistent identity throughout the site and new typography to create a unified presence across their social media platforms.

We’ve created an interactive, community-driven experience for the visitors of the Coventry Rugby site and provided them with a more efficient and effective platform to communicate with their fans, sponsors and business partners to help them propel the club in the direction they wish to go.

Formation offers ongoing marketing support

Formation will continue to work closely with Coventry Rugby Club as their marketing partner, designing and producing content in support of their social media campaigns and events.
