Our Studio Team is looking out for a competent Junior Web Developer to join them in the development of bespoke website projects, using the very latest in dev trends. As Formation is ever-growing, this is a prime opportunity for the right candidate to cut their teeth on a range of projects and to progress within the business.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best web development practices
Create website layouts and page templates by using HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, PHP practices based off supplied XD prototype design, ensuring alignment with design intentions
Maintain retainer client websites as well as updating relevant web development documentation
Estimate time to complete web development tasks in order to ensure commercially viable projects, refining specification and scope of work based on technical needs
Collaborate with other team members to execute the project build. This may include designers, media technicians or SEO specialists
When required, meet with clients to take brief, discuss objectives and job requirements, and present finished work
Who are you?
Our ideal candidate will:
Be able to use HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, PHP practices
Have satisfactory knowledge in other web development frameworks such as React/VueJS
Have satisfactory knowledge of eCommerce and technical SEO
Understand how web applications work including security and session management
Have satisfactory knowledge in DevOps - Server administration / hosting
Be able to use experience to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time, managing the expectations of appropriate stakeholders
Be able to communicate complex technical work to non-technical clients and relevant stakeholders
Communicate well within a team, keep relevant stakeholders up-to-date with project progress, including Studio Manager
Be organised and able to manage workload
Have the ability to work to deadlines whilst producing good-quality work
