Over the next few weeks, we’re starting the steady process of bringing the team back into the office. To do this we’ve implemented a rota-based system allowing us to limit the number of people in the office and helps us to maintain a safe two-metre distance.
Based on our process, here’s some advice that we’d like to offer to other businesses and managers;
Before any of the team returned to the office or workplace, a thorough risk assessment should be carried out. This will outline the potential hazards which your team may face while at work. It should also outline what you are doing as a business to eliminate these hazards.
We've implemented policies to protect our team, such as staggered lunch breaks and limiting the number of people in rooms where it's harder to social distance. In addition, we’ve put in place cleaning routines paying close attention to the areas that get touched throughout the day.
One of the main points highlighted in the risk assessment is the existing health of our team. An extensive confidential medical questionnaire was sent out to every member of our team. The answers remained confidential and highlighted who fell into the high-risk category. Anyone in this category was asked to remain working from home until further notice.
We’ve done this so we can continue to provide a high standard of service for our clients and offer them the support they need with their websites, marketing and software. It has enabled us to grow as a business and win new projects.
We’re happy to be back in the office, we’re remaining vigilant and ensuring the correct precautions are in place prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Together we will get through.
Stay Safe.
