Benefits of Using Animation in Marketing

Animation is a handy tool for marketing your business; it's a simple way of telling your audience who you are and what you do. There are multiple different types of animation that you have at your disposal, such as,

Micro Animation, which is a small functional part of the website that activates when the user reaches it, this is to help the user navigate through the site, particularly if the user is using your mobile site.

3D Animation is a type of animation that gives the image more depth, as it's a three-dimensional image. This kind of animation comes into its element when used in engineering, construction, and infrastructure industries because it allows you to show a product in-depth in an easier way.

GIFs, no matter how you decide to say it, is a kind of animation that is easy to make using programmes such as Giphy and Photoshop; not only this, but they are cost-effective and can be used in a multitude of places on your website or your social media. Furthermore, this type of animation is low risk, as you can create a GIF and test it out with your audience and see how they react to it. If the test works, you know that you can create more, and your audience will react with it, and if it doesn't work as well as you'd have hoped, you can easily try it again in a different style or design.

Here are some of the benefits that we've come up with on why you should be using animation in your marketing campaign.

#1 - Convey Complex Ideas

Everyone takes in information in various ways; by using animation, you can avoid using large pieces of text and make it more appealing to your audience. This will allow you to tell your audience complex information and broad ideas in a more straightforward format that will make the content more memorable and encourage them to learn more about what your business does.

#2 - Reach a larger audience.

Animation Is a versatile tool for reaching a broader audience; with their fun and highly creative look, they appeal to adults and children. So, when you start creating your animations to reach a larger audience, you are given the opportunity to make sure that your animation makes your company stand out from the rest of the marketplace. Not only this but you are given a chance to create something that will be memorable to your audience and entice them to share your post with their friends and family.

#3 - Cost-Effective

Using animation can help you cut the cost of creating a marketing video. Whereas creating complex animations will cost you more, you would equally be saving money as you wouldn’t need to pay to have the short film shot, edited, and crewed (director, producer, maker up, catering, etc.) Following this, a few months down the line, if you wanted to change something in the video, whether it be the voiceover or some of the information shown in the video, you wouldn’t need to reshoot the whole video or even part of it (and pay for the crew again), you'd only need to edit your existing animation file.

#4 - Timeless

While in marketing videos, you can use an individual who has a significant amount of star power to represent or become the face of your brand. However, this can also limit the run of the video during your campaign if their star power starts to die down (this could be for multiple reasons, such as their career-ending or bad press). Using animation, you can create a timeless video that can be shared and used in multiple campaigns. Another advantage is that animations are more likely to be shared on social media platforms outside your marketing campaign.
